There were reports that 26 fire houses were closed on Saturday for periods of time.

Hamodia reported:

According the the Uniformed Firefighters Association, 26 fire stations across New York City’s five boroughs have been closed temporarily due to personnel shortages caused by unvaccinated firefighters.

Mayor Bill de Blasio gave a deadline of 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, for the first responders to receive at least one shot of a Covid vaccine. Those who did not get vaccinated by that time were placed on unpaid furlough.

According to a press release by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis and Councilman Joe Borelli, the closed stations include E55, E59, L18, L34 and L36 in Manhattan; E219, E231, E234, E239, E309, E332, L146, L149 and L176 in Brooklyn; E286, E287 and L128 in Queens; E46, E48, E73 and L17 in the Bronx, and E152, E158, L78 and L86 in Staten Island.

God help New York City.
