A mother has claimed another woman verbally abused her daughter who was innocently feeding geese in a Sydney park before allegedly calling police because she 'feared for her life'.

The mother of the child posted a warning to other families in the Bondi Local Loop Facebook page on Friday, describing the aggressive interaction alongside an image of the supposed 'park Karen' who had brought her daughter to tears.

'If you are in Centennial Park with your children, watch out for this woman,' the mother wrote online.

'My daughter was feeding some geese this morning with some seeded bread and this woman left my daughter in tears. She was verbally aggressive and abusive. I don't even want to repeat what she was saying to her.

The unnamed woman (pictured) supposedly called the cops on the mother and her daughter after she was allegedly verbally abusive and aggressive towards them for feeding the geese

'She then took photos of us, supposedly called the police saying she was fearing for her life after I started telling her off. What started out as a really nice morning turned into a horrible experience.'

The post has garnered plenty of attention on Facebook with over 200 parents commenting on the appalling behaviour the mother claims the woman exhibited.

'She's got the Karen starter pack happening right there,' wrote one.

'God what a lunatic,' commented another.

'A quick headbutt usually sorts out people like that,' joked another.

Others were quick to comment that geese and ducks should not be fed bread and that while the woman's supposed behaviour was inexcusable, she did have a legitimate reason to chastise the child.

'They (children) shouldn't be feeding the ducks... especially bread, it's not allowed and very bad for their health,' said one.

'I am sorry this happened to you but bread should never be fed to these beautiful angels because it is the worst kind of food for them,' said another. 'There are usually signs around.'

Bread can be dangerous to waterfowl as it is not part of their natural diet and can cause a deformation called 'angel wing'.

This deformity can change the shape of a bird's wings and prevent them from flying.
