Boy, 14, is beaten and left hospitalized by two robbers who stole his jacket and bag in broad daylight outside a Manhattan homeless shelter

Two Manhattan crooks beat up a 14-year-old boy and pinned him against scaffolding until he gave them his bag and jacket in a brazen daylight robbery.

The robbers could be seen barging into the young man as he walked along the street near Bowery Mission Tribeca Campus, a homeless shelter and food kitchen at around 11:30am on Friday.

One of the men sucker-punched the teenager in the face and pummeled him before deliberately pushing him into the metal scaffolding.

Once the pair of muggers managed to get hold of the youngster's jacket, they then went for the boy's bag as well.

A short tug-of-war ensued as the boy desperately tried to cling on before letting go.
