Retired football great Herschel Walker slammed the media on Tuesday for not scrutinizing Joe Biden’s relationship with a former Klansman-turned-senator while warning that voters should re-elect President Trump because ‘Democrats do not like America.’

During an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday, the former All Pro running back, who spoke in support of Trump at the Republican National Convention this past summer, said Democrats will ‘take your freedoms’ if they win in November.

The latest public opinion polls give Biden the lead in the race, though supporters of Trump are now calling into question Biden’s ties to Robert Byrd, the late senator from West Virginia.

Biden is seen with Byrd during a campaign rally in Charleston, West Virginia, in 2008. Byrd is a controversial figure due to his membership in the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s. In later years, Byrd renounced his ties to the Klan and expressed regret for ever joining the group

In 2010, then-Vice President Biden eulogized Byrd, who died after a 51-year-career in the US Senate. But Byrd is a controversial figure in American politics because of his membership in the Ku Klux Klan.

In his later years, however, Byrd renounced his involvement with the Klan and called it one of his biggest mistakes in life.

Walker said the press would ‘cover it non-stop’ if Trump paid homage to a former Klansman as Biden did.

‘At the same time, I could tell you Herschel Walker would not be his friend,’ Walker said.

Walker touted a recent endorsement of Trump by the rapper 50 Cent.

'Fitty,' whose real name is Curtis Jackson, endorsed Donald Trump for president because of his favorable tax policies for the rich - and said he doesn't care if the Republican 'doesn’t like black people'.

The 45-year-old tweeted a shot of the tax rates proposed by Democratic candidate Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris.

The Biden proposals could see those earning more than $400,000 a year hit with rates of 62.6 percent for those who live in California residents, and 62 percent for people who live in New York City.

The If I Can't rapper rapper wrote: 'WHAT THE F***! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT. F*** NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway.'

He added: 'I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f***ing mind.'

The tax rates would not apply to people who make less than $400,000 annually, which makes for about 98.2 percent of Americans.

Biden has pledged to hike taxes said for those earning more than $400,000, but has insisted there will be 'no new taxes' beyond that.

The current top U.S. statutory tax rate is 37 percent with the average earner in the highest tax bracket paying 26.8 percent after taking into account tax breaks, including loopholes, deductions, exemptions, credits and preferential rates.

Walker, the former Heisman Trophy winner, has been friends with Trump for decades.

Trump was the owner of the United States Football League team the New Jersey Generals when Walker was one of his players.

Walker said on Tuesday Americans ‘better get out and vote Republican.’

‘If you don't vote Republican, you're not going to recognize America,’ Walker said.

‘If you let the Democrats get in control, your kids, your grandkids, they're not going to recognize America, because I see what they're doing.

‘They don't tell you the truth. The truth is they do not like America ... they're going to take your freedoms, and I'm not going to stand for it.’
