The Russian collusion controversy that unfairly plagued President Donald Trump and his administration from the very start of his presidency turned out to be a totally failed experiment perpetrated by angry and desperate Democrats.
Not surprisingly, it turns out that failed 2016 presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may have been deeply involved in setting up the Russia collusion hoax in an effort to distract from her growing list of problems at the time, namely her controversial, bathroom closet email server.
According to Washington Free Beacon, new information was released on Monday by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe which contains actual claims from U.S. intelligence operatives that Clinton used the Russia hoax as a misdirection tool to take some of the heat off of her own problems.
“U.S. intelligence officials forwarded an investigative referral to [then-] FBI director James Comey and deputy assistant director of counterintelligence Peter Strzok regarding, ‘U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s approval of a plan concerning U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Russian hackers hampering U.S. elections as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private mail server,'” the newly released documents state.
Making matters worse for Clinton and Democrats in general is the fact that the documents also specifically claim that former President Barack Obama and his top people were briefed on the intelligence at the time, knowing full well that Clinton was engaged in playing nasty, dirty tricks in an effort to do whatever she could to vilify Trump at the time.
The documents, which were made available thanks to the work of Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham — a Trump ally — ahead of a scheduled hearing with his committee on Wednesday that includes disgraced, former FBI director James Comey.
As Graham pointed out, there may very well have been a gross double standard in place with Obama’s FBI at the time as far as launching investigations were concerned. Remember, they investigated Trump at the drop of a hat, but even with alleged intelligence briefings by Obama’s top intelligence officials at the time, why wasn’t Clinton subject to the same level of scrutiny?
“This latest information provided by DNI Ratcliffe shows there may have been a double standard by the FBI regarding allegations against the Clinton campaign and Russia,” Graham said. “Whether these allegations are accurate is not the question. The question is did the FBI investigate the allegations against Clinton like they did Trump? If not, why not?”
President Trump even touched on the issue briefly during Tuesday night’s fiery presidential debate with former Vice President Joe Biden and has long claimed that the Obama/Biden administration and their top law enforcement agencies colluded against him in a number of illegal ways prior to his 2016 election.
While the newsworthy items contained in these newly declassified documents is subject to further review and investigation, the findings very well could leave Biden with a long list of serious questions to answer.
