Flynn Investigators Reportedly So Scared Of Getting Caught and Being Wrong They Bought Liability Insurance (3 Cartoons)

If you thought the FBI investigations into former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was dirty, unfair and downright ugly, you haven’t seen anything yet.

A number of documents released this week concerning the investigations into President Donald Trump and his former associates over alleged Russia collusion ties are nothing less than absolute bombshells. A number of FBI officials assigned to the investigations have essentially revealed what most of us knew all along — the whole thing was a total fraud.

Case in point is the bizarre revelation in Thursday’s document release that, according to Fox News, a number of FBI investigators on the Flynn case “all went and purchased professional liability insurance” with fear that the incoming administration could take action against their weak case down the road.

And thankfully, that’s exactly what U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr is doing right now.

“The whole thing is pretty ugly…we shall see how things pan out,” one FBI official wrote at the time. They were also apparently deathly afraid of leaks concerning the investigation at the time and were sure that The New York Times and other major news outlets were ready to publish pieces about it.

Another investigator described the investigation into Flynn as a “nightmare.” Those are just a sampling of a number of revelations that paint a shady picture of the downright dirty tactics that the Deep State tried to deploy against the Trump administration at the time.

Another bombshell admission from an employee assigned to the investigations revolved around a January 2017 meeting with top officials, including then FBI director James Comey and even former President Barack Obama himself. The analyst described the tense meeting, saying “people here are scrambling for info to support certain things and it’s a mad house.”

Flynn, who has fought tooth-and-nail to clear his name after years of being dragged through the proverbial mud, has had full support from the Trump administration and the U.S. Justice Department. His lawyer, Sidney Powell, strongly believes that the former 3-star general was a victim of a political witch hunt, writing in a brief this week, citing information in the recent document release that all but proves Flynn was caught up in a dirty attempt to undermine Trump’s presidency.

“Brady and the wrongful prosecution of General Flynn when the agents and prosecutors knew there was no crime. This hideous abuse of power and travesty of justice has only been exacerbated by the unprecedented and baseless rulings of this court, and it should not continue another day,” Powell said.

Powell went on to demand that the court system honor the request of the DOJ to fully drop the case against Flynn once and for all.

“There was no crime. The FBI and the prosecutors knew that. This American hero and his entire family have suffered for four years from public abuse, slander, libel, and all means of defamation at the hands of the very government he pledged his life to defend,” Powell wrote.

And according to the long list of stunning revelations in these newly-released documents, there should be enough evidence to finally free Flynn of this long, expensive nightmare.
