Newlywed couple are rescued off Laguna Beach after a huge wave swept them into the sea while they were posing for their wedding photos on a rock

A beautiful wedding photo shoot for a California couple went awry when a massive wave swept them off an ocean side rock and into the sea.
The soggy incident was captured by a witness from a lookout point near the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach.
Footage obtained by TMX News shows the sweet couple posing togetheron coastal rocks at Treasure Beach Island.
The unidentified couple take a quick moment in between snapping photos to adjust their wedding attire, but are oblivious to the waves looming nearby.
A powerful wave suddenly rushes towards the rocks, completely washes over the surface and drags the couple out to the Pacific Ocean.

But a surge in coronavirus spikes across California prompted local officials to close city-operated beaches in Laguna Beach and Orange County on July 4, The Los Angeles Times reports.
Officials said they're concerned about increasing infections if beaches get overcrowded and social distancing is flouted.
'Particularly on the Fourth of July when there were fireworks... it looked like sardines in a can,' said Laguna Beach Mayor Pro Tem Steve Dicterow.
'There was no space in between people. My concern is that even without the fireworks, there just may be a huge density of people on the beaches.'
