A woman caught on camera intentionally coughing in a baby's face at a California yogurt shop is reported to be a special education teacher.
Surveillance footage of the incident, which occurred June 12 inside a Yogurtland in San Jose, quickly went viral and set off a public search for the suspect.

'The incident that occurred at Yogurtland is despicable. There is no place in the Oak Grove School District for any employee who would deliberately cause harm to a child. If the District receives confirmation from San Jose Police Department that the individual involved in the Yogurtland incident is our employee, we will take immediate action,' the statement read.
The school district added: 'The employee is currently off of work and not providing any services to our District students.'
According to one prosecutor who spoke with ABC7, the perpetrator could face misdemeanor battery charges.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the San Jose Police Department for further information.

The incident reportedly occurred inside the Yogurtland because the woman was upset that the baby's mother was not maintaining a six-foot distance amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She was caught on camera in some sort of verbal altercation with the mother and could be seen waving her hands.
Police say the woman then removed her mask, approached the stroller and coughed over the baby at least three times.
The mother could be seen frantically trying to shield the baby by pulling down the hood of the stroller.
Police say the suspect immediately left the store after the incident.
