The drama between Sandy Garossino and her daughter's partner Elon Musk continued after she appeared to like and then unlike a tweet which compared the billionaire entrepreneur to Kanye.
It comes after the Canadian media commentator accused him of 'blaring men's rights activist bulls***' after the Tesla founder tweeted a right-wing 'take the red pill' meme.
Musk, whose girlfriend Grimes gave birth to their son two weeks ago, cryptically tweeted 'take the red pill' to his 34 million Twitter followers on Sunday.
The 'red pill' reference originally comes from the 1999 movie The Matrix but the phrase has since become an online meme used by the alt-right and men's rights activists.

Musk's tweet seemingly prompted backlash from his girlfriend's Canadian media commentator mother.
In the latest in a series of now-deleted Twitter activity, Garossino appeared to like a tweet by journalist Yashar Ali, slamming Musk's recent Twitter presence.
'Elon Musk's Twitter presence in the last few months feels very Kanye 2018,' he wrote in reference to the Tesla founder's 'red pill' tweet.

In October 2018, concerns were raised that Kanye appeared 'unhinged' during a bizarre rant while meeting with Trump at the Oval Office. During the lengthy televised discussion, Kanye claimed he had been 'misdiagnosed' with bipolar disorder.
A screenshot shows that Garossino liked the tweet, before later unliking it.
It comes after Garossino also posted: 'If your partner went through a challenging pregnancy and childbirth in the last two weeks, and you were over 16 years old, would you be blaring MRA bulls*** on Twitter right now?'
The tweet has since been deleted.

Garossino weighed in when others were critical of Musk's tweet, including Canadian activist Gerald Butts who tweeted: 'Buddy has a 3 week old baby. Maybe step away from the broflakes.'
In response, Garossino tweeted that her grandson was 'Not yet 2 weeks old'.

Musk and his partner Grimes announced the birth of their baby, which they named named X Æ A-12, last week.
Grimes' mother went on to retweet a post slamming the controversial reopening of Musk's Tesla factory in California.
That tweet called for Musk to be arrested because the reopening was in defiance of coronavirus lockdown measures in California.
All her tweets related to Musk have since been deleted.
Musk's tweet about the 'red pill' come from the 1999 movie The Matrix starring Keanu Reeves.
In the film, Reeves is given the choice between a red and blue pill. The red pill will allow Reeves to see the truth of things, while the blue pill allows him to go on existing in blissful ignorance.
'You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes,' the line from the film says.

While Musk's intention behind the tweet isn't clear, the 'red pill' phrase is now commonly used to show a right-wing political awakening and is used widely on online forums in support of President Donald Trump, as well as men's rights organizations.
Musk's tweet prompted support from first daughter Ivanka Trump who tweeted his comments and said: 'Taken!'.
More recently the 'red pill' term has been used to describe the taking on of conservative values after formerly identifying with more liberal ideas.
People sometimes describe themselves as having 'red pill moments', 'personal awakenings that have caused them to reject leftist narratives imbibed since childhood from friends, teachers, and the news and entertainment media,' Fox News explains.
According to Urban Dictionary, 'Red pill' has become 'a popular phrase in cyberculture and signifies a free-thinking attitude, and a waking up from a 'normal' life of sloth and ignorance. Red pills prefer the truth, no matter how gritty and painful it may be.'
The 'red-pill' philosophy is also part of the alt-right movement.
Richard Spencer, an alt-right leader, has posted videos on the topic along with other personalities associated with the alt-right.

Musk and Trump did not respond to Wachowski.
It comes after Musk last week clashed with local officials in Fremont, California, over the reopening of his Tesla factory, which had been ordered closed to stop the spread of coronavirus.
He defied an order to stay closed and the plant was running for two days with Musk almost daring to be arrested.
The Alameda County Public Health Department eventually announced a settlement with company workers following previously agreed-upon worker safety precautions.
Musk has openly critical of shutdown policies by the California government during the pandemic.
