@thesandbartybee Earlier this week, the walls of The Sand Bar in Tybee Island, Georgia, were covered with one-dollar bills left by cus... @thesandbartybee Earlier this week, the walls of The Sand Bar in Tybee Island, Georgia, were covered with one-dollar bills left by customers as a tradition for over 15 years. 2 @AmandaJ_TX Now, for the most wholesome reason, every bill has been stripped down to help pay staff who have been recently left unemployed due to the Coronavirus lock-down. 3 @AmandaJ_TX In an interview with CNN, The Sand Bar owner Jennifer Knox said, “We were sitting there, doors locked, and I’m like ‘oh my gosh, there’s money on the walls and we have time on our hands. We gotta get this money down.’” 4 @AmandaJ_TX After ripping the bills off of the walls, Knox was able to scavenge around $3,714 which has since been donated directly to her unemployed staff. 5 @thesandbartybee “I can’t just sit here and do nothing.
