A tour through an historic Quebec grocery store (50 Pics)

J.A. Moisan in Quebec City. Founded in 1871, it is possible the oldest continuously running grocery store in all of North-America!

As is tradition in Quebec grocery stores, the first section you see as you enter is the fresh produce. Banana for scale I guess. Already you can see the old school charm and warmth of the store. It's narrow and filled with antiques as decoration. You can also get a glimpse of the deli counter where you can get meat and cheese, but also prepared food.

To the right of the entrance you can see the dessert display. Further to the right of the picture is a small seating section where you can enjoy any of the ready to eat food, pastries, or just a nice coffee. They get fresh bread from a bakery everyday.
