Feminist Democrat: Media Won’t Let Us Speak Out Against Transgender Agenda

In an interview on his Fox News show Wednesday night, host Tucker Carlson spoke with Women’s Liberation Front board member Kara Dansky — a self-described “lifelong” Democrat — about the controversy swirling around the latest championship won by a biological male in a women’s sports competition.
In response to Carlson’s questions about transgender cyclist Rachel McKinnon — a biological male who just set a world record in a women’s track cycling championship — Dansky said that many on the Left strongly oppose the transgender agenda but are “subjected to a media blackout.”
“I just want to say there are many Democrats and people who identify as being on the Left who are very angry about the takeover of women’s sports and how the Democratic Party is handling gender identity,” said Dansky.
Dansky then underscored that she is a “lifelong” Democrat but has found that her voice has been silenced by her own side, particularly the mainstream media.
“I am a lifelong member of the Democratic Party and many of us can’t get a voice on this issue in most media,” said Dansky.
“If you had told me … five years ago that there would be a consensus in Washington that you are not allowed to question any of this stuff, I would have said that was insane,” said Carlson. “Today, there is that consensus. It’s dangerous to even raise questions about it.”
Citing McKinnon’s championship in Manchester, Dansky said, “There are many feminist women who are questioning the right of male athletes to compete in women’s sports, and this seems to be unacceptable for us to take this position.”
“But we will continue to take this position that it is unacceptable for males to compete in women’s sports,” Dansky stressed. “It is very important in this country for the purposes of maintaining Title IX protection for women and girls …”
When Carlson pointed out that just by making this “reality-based case,” Dansky is risking “physical harm,” Dansky agreed that the consequences — physical, social and professional — for simply “voicing concerns” about the safety and rights of girls and women are dire.
“Physical harm, social ostracization, risk to livelihood. I personally know several women who have been fired from positions for voicing concerns for the rights, privacy, and safety of women and girls,” said Dansky.
“I want to also just make the point that many of your viewers may not understand, that there are many people on the political Left — including, especially, feminists, lesbians, gay men and bisexual people — who are gravely concerned about what the Democratic Party is doing on the topic of gender identity and pushing the notion that men can be women and women can be men,” she said. “Which is, first of all, regressive politically because it aligns with the notion of gender, which we want to abolish. But it’s also just inaccurate scientifically.”
“There are many Democrats who are willing to say this, but many of your viewers might not know that because we are subjected to a media blackout,” she said.
The reason no one hears pushback from the political Left, she said, is because NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the rest of the left-leaning mainstream media will not give them “a voice.”

The Women’s Liberation Front is a radical feminist group which lists among its goals to “disrupt and ultimately end the propagation and enforcement of the gender hierarchy, because women’s liberation can only be won when the caste system called gender has been abolished.”
