Catherine Engelbrecht of True The Vote joined Governor Mike Huckabee in May 2013 to discuss the harassment and abuse she received from the Obama administration after she applied for tax exempt status.

‘True the Vote’ does not advocate for particular parties or candidates only for fair elections at all levels. The group was a huge threat to Barack Obama and Democrats. The left fears voter integrity.  Catherine’s group discovered Engelbrecht reminded Governor Huckabee in 2013 that in the last 18 months voter fraud cases have been prosecuted in 36 states.  There are nearly 7 million Americans registered to vote in two or more states.
Engelbrecht and her organization were harassed by the Obama IRS for months. The Obama IRS wanted to know Facebook posts, tweets and where Catherine intended to speak. That was just one round. Engelbrecht said she was also harassed by the FBI, OSHA and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) who checked her gun safe.

In June, after nearly a decade-long battle against the IRS, True the Vote won a major decision in federal court and was awarded maximum attorney fees.
At the time Engelbrecht told Breitbart News, “This is a huge victory for every American who thinks that they can’t go up against the government and get what they deserve.”
On Saturday Catherine Engelbrecht spoke with The Gateway Pundit outside the Eagle Council in St. Louis after her huge win in court.
Catherine also spoke about how Elijah Cummings went after her group in 2012 with the full weight of the US government to harass, intimidate and abuse her group in an obvious attempt to silence “True the Vote.”
Catherine Engelbrecht on Rep. Elijah Cummings: He felt like what we were doing was wrong. And so on House stationary he decided himself singularly to start this fight. And he emailed Lois Lerner and team (from the IRS) to get personal information. His staff members tried to impersonate volunteers to come inside trainings. It was wild. So I have no pity on Elijah Cummings… We never brought a lawsuit against him but we did file a complaint with the Ethics Commission which got pigeon-holed. And we have followed up and followed up and there’s no movement. It’s still alive out there somewhere and it deserves to be looked at.
TGP: So are you going to press to move this forward?
Catherine Engelbrecht: You know what? I haven’t thought of that in a while but Jim I think we will!
