A Georgia sheriff’s deputy has been fired after he and his fiancée were filmed acting aggressively and cursing at a neighbor who asked them to keep the noise down.
Brison Strickland, 28, and his partner Kristen Smith, also 28, were arrested by the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office after the video filmed by neighbor Haley Truncer went viral on Facebook.
In the footage, Truncer can be see approaching the front door of the couple’s apartment in Catersville and knocking, before politely asking, ‘Would you mind keeping the noise down?’ as it was after midnight and her three-year-old nephew was struggling to sleep.
As she’s talking, music can be heard thumping in the background. Truncer later elaborated to Fox 5 that ‘there was music and stomping and a microphone, like there was some karaoke going on.’
Almost immediately the couple begin swearing at the women, demanding to know where she lives and telling her ‘f*** off’ repeatedly.

‘I don’t give a f*** what time it is,’ Smith can be heard saying, with Strickland continuing the curse out Truncer in the meantime.
When asked if they ‘have any respect for anyone’, Smith retorts: ‘We have f***ing respect b**ch, but it don’t f***ing matter, we have f***ing kids in here,’ as an unidentified child emerges in the door way.
Smith then lunges towards Truncer, asking ‘What f***ing apartment are you in?’ as Strickland warns her ‘not to knock on our goddamn door.’
Truncer’s phone starts to flail in her hand as Smith continues lunge towards her.
‘If you touch me, you’re going to jail,’ Truncer warns, backing away from the front door.
An incensed Smith becomes all the more irate, telling her neighbor ‘Let me tell you something,’ as she paces up and down inside the home, ‘we are the police, b**ch!’
At no stage during the video does Strickland appear to attempt to deescalate the conflict or prevent Smith from assaulting Truncer.
Truncer posted the footage on Facebook on Sunday, and calling out the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office for employing Strickland.
‘THIS GUY is a perfect example of a crooked officer, who clearly abuses his power,’ she wrote. ‘THIS GUY is trash.
‘NO “officer” should be acting this way, harassing their neighbors, partying past midnight with kids IN their home, and keeping everyone else’s kids up with them
‘These are the type of officers that Bartow County employs. This is what's supposed to “protect and serve” us.’
After being notified of Truncer’s video on Monday, Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap suspended Strickland, who was fired the next day following an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigations Division and the Internal Affairs Office.
‘During the exchange, Strickland and Smith were verbally abusive and made several claims to be police officers and used explicit language in threatening manners,’ the sheriff's office said, justifying the decision.
Strickland had been employed with the sheriff’s office from February 2010 until July 2015, before returning once more in April 2017.
The couple were also arrested on charges of simple assault and disorderly house for Strickland, and simple assault and disorderly conduct for Smith, police records show.
