‘Bachelorette’ Hannah Brown Is Over Being ‘Slut-Shamed’

No man is going to tell this year's "Bachelorette" Hannah Brown to abstain from pre-marital sex or question her devotion as a Christian woman after throwing chastity to the wind.
After booting the openly Christian contestant Luke Parker off the show for expressing his disapproval of pre-marital sex, Hannah Brown announced that she's over being "slut-shamed" when appearing on the reunion show Monday night, which brings all the contestants back for a roundtable discussion prior to the season finale.
"I am so over being slut-shamed and being felt like that makes me not a woman of faith, because, oh my gosh. I live my life and make mistakes and sin every single day and so do you, and so do you, and so do you," Brown said at the reunion. "I'm also not going to say that me having sex in a windmill was just the Scarlett Letter on my chest to have. I'm not going to stand here and feel that way and you're not going to make me feel that way."
Several weeks ago, Luke Parker told Brown that he would like to be sent home if he learned she "had sex with one or multiple of these guys."
"So, let's talk about sex and how the marriage bed should be kept pure," said Parker at the time. "I had an encounter with God I was in the shower and God was speaking to me. I realized that I wasn’t the man that I wanted to be. And I’ve been working on being the husband that I want to be for my future wife."
"I have had sex, and, honestly, Jesus still loves me," said Brown.
Brown sent Parker packing in last week's episode, arguing that his views on pre-marital sex were tantamount to pride. "Guess what? Sex might be a sin out of marriage, pride is a sin, too, and I feel like this is like a pride thing," Brown said. "I feel like I've finally gotten clarity on you and I do not want you to be my husband."

As Hannah Brown was accusing Luke Parker of committing the sin of pride, she then went on to say she had sex with another contestant, Peter Weber, twice in a windmill. "I have had sex and, like, Jesus still loves me," she said.
On the reunion show Monday night, Brown characterized Luke Parker as being "obsessed with sex" while dismissing her sexual encounters with other contestants as intimate experiences that were beyond the physical.
"Luke is really obsessed with sex and Fantasy Suites being about sex," said Brown. "Honestly, did I sit around and be like, 'Huh, who am I going to have sex with in the Fantasy Suites?' No. I didn't. That wasn't something planned."
Then Brown added: "That wasn't something that really was everybody's business to know and it wasn't your business to ever ask me."

Her comment, of course, ignores that "The Bachelorette" airs on national television, making her sexual encounters (as an outspoken Christian woman) with other contestants very much "everybody's business." In closing, she characterized Parker as a toxic, controlling male.
"Unfortunately, it's a relationship that lot of women can relate to," she said. "A lot of women have been in toxic relationships and maybe, just maybe, me going through that and being able to remember my worth and figure that out for myself can help somebody that's in that now and see the signs of that. And ultimately, makes me feel like I don't have regrets because that was worth all of it."
