Trump Announces His Response to Iran… and It’s Not Pretty for the Ayatollah

President Donald Trump announced a new round of economic sanctions on Iran are taking effect Monday after its military shot down an expensive U.S. spy drone last week in what the Pentagon called an “unprovoked” attack over international waters.
Iran tried to justify military action by claiming the drone had violated its air space — a harshly disputed assertion.
Trump, who called off a retaliatory airstrike set for Friday morning that would have reportedly killed 150 Iranians, tweeted Saturday morning that instead, the U.S. government was ready to slap Iran with “major sanctions.”
In the same tweet, the president said Iran “cannot have Nuclear Weapons” and, as he’s done in the past, railed against the Obama administration for negotiating a “terrible” nuclear agreement with Iran.
Iran cannot have Nuclear Weapons! Under the terrible Obama plan, they would have been on their way to Nuclear in a short number of years, and existing verification is not acceptable. We are putting major additional Sanctions on Iran on Monday. I look forward to the day that.....

He added that he looks forward to the day when Iran decides to play nice with the United States and the rest of the world so sanctions can be lifted and the Islamic Republic can be a “productive and prosperous nation again.”

Trump signed an executive order Monday imposing the sanctions, saying, “We will continue to increase pressure on Tehran until the regime abandons its dangerous activities.”

NBC News reported the newly announced sanctions deny key financial resources to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his office.
When asked by reporters Saturday about the possibility of military action against Iran, Trump said that a military solution to their outbursts are “always on the table until we get this solved.” He emphasized that if the country continues on its course of provocative acts, “it’s going to be a very bad day for them.”
According to CNBC, six oil tankers and the U.S drone have been attacked since May either in or near to the Strait of Hormuz, which is a major shipping route for the world’s oil supply.
But Trump said it’s not as important to the United States to have it open because of our growing capacity to produce oil. Other countries depend on it more than the United States, giving the president major leverage over the Islamic Republic to try and control its ability to produce nuclear weapons.
Iran is sitting under a heavy strain of U.S. sanctions from previous years and likely can’t afford a new round of what the president described as “major additional sanctions.” Washington has hit over 1,000 Iranian entities with sanctions and last month banned the purchase of iron, steel, aluminum and copper from that country.
According to Cailin Birch, global economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit, Iran is hurting badly.
“We can safely say that Iran’s revenue from oil has been cut by at least two-thirds, so they are in a very dangerous economic position,” Birch told CNBC on Monday.
Trump, who’s known as a master at negotiation tactics, obviously would be well aware of that and is doing everything he can to leverage that position into cutting a deal that would make the world a safer place.
For Iran’s leaders, it’s really pretty simple, if they’re able to set their pride aside for more than a few seconds. If they stop trying to advance their nuclear weapons program, dial down the threatening rhetoric and halt the unprovoked attacks on the equipment of the United States and its allies, they would eventually have sanctions lifted and would be able to enjoy a strong economy.
Or they can continue on their current path and face hostility from the entire world. It’s not going to take many more attacks or provocative actions before military action is used, which would be nothing less than devastating for the Islamic Republic.
As CNBC reported, Trump is ready to give the country yet another chance to make things right, which is commendable, as most don’t want to see another Middle East conflict.
But make no mistake, as the commander in chief told NBC in an interview, if we have to go to war with Iran, there will be “obliteration like you’ve never seen before.”
Hopefully, Iran’s leaders come to their senses and make the wise choice, because if we know anything about Trump, it’s that he does not play games.

  1. And, of course, one of the reasons why these carriers are so vulnerable is the distance to the visual "horizon" when one is standing on the flight deck: it's much closer than 26 miles. So, with an incoming cruise missile doing Mach 2 at 100 feet above the sea surface, there is very little advanced visual notice to activate defensive weapons. Now, the Aegis is supposed to put up a wall of lead in less than 30 seconds, but it's not that difficult to coordinate several incoming Super Sunburns that will exhaust the ammunition magazines in that Aegis system. I can't remember the name of that Pentagon official who tried in vain to warn the Joint Chiefs about similar carrier vulnerabilities. Sadly, documentation of his findings and warnings was easily accessible from the Internet, but that didn't stop GWBush from putting multiple U.S. aircraft carriers in harm's way. I was thrilled to learn that 2 had turned back, some weeks after we frantically contacted the bridge's public relations officers with the name of that Pentagon official, to facilitate confirmation.

  4. That reminds me of the "Super Sunburn" episode when GWBush ordered U.S. aircraft carriers into the Persian Gulf. Turns out, nobody bothered to brief the Captains that their ships had no defense against this modern cruise missile, even though a Pentagon official had been screaming his head off, trying to bring attention to this gross vulnerability. We decided to take action and did what we could to forward email WARNINGS directly to one of the aircraft carrier's Captains. Next thing we heard, two had done a 180, one returning to Bremerton for refitting, and the other directed to patrol the Indian Ocean. Google "SS-N-26" e.g.:

“Some of the countries, especially in the need for support of the Saudis
and the UAE, have even been blackmailed to follow the same policy
against Qatar. It creates a lot of instability in the Horn of Africa and
the sub-Saharan area. Mainly the focus has been Africa, but there have
been attempts elsewhere. Africa has been the focus because many of the
countries are in need of help and support.”

  6. There's a related story you might want to confirm: according to some reports I've read, Kushner desperately needed re-financing of his "666" building. So, he met privately with Saudis and persuaded them to launch an economic and political boycott of Qatar, which hosts a large U.S. military base. Qatar was thereby "motivated" to provide the funds Kushner needed, and the boycott was promptly lifted. Please confirm these reports by doing your own research. I believe that the New York State AG needs to take a serious look at these allegations.

  16. Nobody pays any attention to the Orange Bully. The Ayatollah has Trump in a corner and is probably laughing his ass off

    ReplyDelete
  17. It is the ADELSON Administration . .... Bought and PAID FOR.
Remember how "rich" Trump was "self funded" and therefore could not be influenced by contributions?"! There’s an omnipresent influence on Trump: $259 million. Those funds came from Sheldon and Miriam Adelson, Paul Singer and Bernard Marcus, donors who have made no secret of their desire for the United States to destroy the Islamic Republic. Adelson, who alongside his wife Miriam are the biggest donors to Trump and the GOP, contributed $205 million to Republicans in the past two cycles and reportedly sent $35 million Trump’s presidential bid.
Sheldon Adelson BRIBED Trump and the Republicans .... This does not include the "favorable and unusual" so-called loans granted Kushner and ?Trump? who is notorious for being in financial difficulty and is desperately hiding his taxes. Trump has lots of energy for defending his tax returns but very little for defending Our borders. Trump's lawyers will appeal and fight this tooth and nail for his Taxes. But when some P.O.S. "judge" treasonously rules against defending this Nation's borders from Invaders Trump just shruggs and submits. Makes empty threats about where to put the Invaders, and goes back to putting ISRAEL FIRST.

Trump has diverted American resources to granting Sheldon Adelson's every wish for a FOREIGN nation.
Trump has NOT fulfilled his DUTY and Promises to the American People as he has focused on Israel.
Trump is attempting to embroil this Nation in a foreign war through blatant LIES.
FIRST Trump claims scuba divers planted 90lb. Limpet mines 12 feet up the side of a ship while bobbing in the water!
SECOND Iran shoots down US drone. I am surprised more are not shot down. Usually the US uses them against defenseless enemies, but that is apparently not the case with Iran. What if Russia starts flying drones over OUR coastline?
America-"I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you, I'm not touching you .... MOMMY! Iran HIT ME!".
Why would we be SPYING on open water??? The debris was in Iranian territory ..... it did not WALK there.
CURE: Trump, Adelson, Kushner need to go on trial for treason.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Pure bullying from Trump.

Also, Iran would not have shot down that drone were it not in their airspace - nor would they brag about doing so.
The USA was probably betting on the drone flying too high for primitive Iran to be able to shoot it down.

  20. Or they can continue on their current path and face hostility from the entire world.
The entire world? This writer wouldn't have a clue! As far as I can see the ones facing 'hostility' is the warmongering US and it's President!!

But he has lots of time, money and effort to devote the ORDERS he gets from his Jewish Owners .... $259MILLION is what it cost them to BUY this "administration".

  22. During the 67 Israel war, Idi Amin threatened Israel that he would send Ugandan troops to destroy Israel. This threat was not aimed at Israel or any country but Uganda. Three days later the war was over and Amin told his people that Israel was so scared of Uganda the they surrendered. They believed him.
Trump's rhetoric is not aimed at Iran where they just laugh at him, it is not aimed at the Ayatollah who does not need or use money any more than Putin's personal transactions, it is aimed at the Trump supporters in USA heartland. How do we know this?
It is couched in language of the 6 year-old school-yard bully. It is childish and ridiculous to any adult, but the MAGA, MAGA, USA, USA crowd lap it up. "the day when Iran decides to play nice" WTF does that mean?
“it’s going to be a very bad day for them.” Ooooh, 850,000 Iranian soldiers are shivering with fear.
I have copyrighted the phrase "Trump is F*ing idiot." I am going to make a fortune as everyone is using my copyright.

  26. They haven't produced one. It doesn't take thirty years to develop a nuke, even if you don't get help from Pakistan. Also, the major intelligence agencies, including Mossad, the arch-enemy, say that if Iran was working on nukes, they stopped years ago.

The whole story is just a beat-up from American and Israeli politicians.

    ReplyDelete
  27. After the Anglo-American Manhattan Project showed it could be done, the US cut off Britain from their nuclear programme. The British very quickly developed their own nukes, followed by France and the USSR. (The latter helped by the Rosenbergs.) China, India,Pakistan, and Israel didn't take too long to develop theirs.
Iran still has not developed one. This makes me suspect that the Iranian government might actually be telling the truth (a rare thing for any government) when they say they don't want to.

Here are some sources. Some of the intelligence agencies might have been told by their political bosses to change their story recently, but the fact that there is no Iranian nuke still supports my contention.
