ReplyDeleteSorry Bill, I agree with you 99% of the time, but you know nothing about concentration camps. Actually almost no one in the US knows much about them. When you say things like “mass graves, medical experiments, etc.”, those are only at death camps. Those are not concentration camps. Why are people confused? Because about 4 million Jews survived the war in the 25 or so concentration camps run openly by Germans in WWII, but 6 million Jews were murdered in the 6 death camps run secretly by Germans in WWII. The point being that not a single death camp was in Germany, they were all in Poland, and not a single one was left for any Allies to capture. So no one on the Allied side knows what they even looked like. The images we have of emaciated people and corpses was from things like typhus and cholera epidemics in the work camps, when Germany no longer had any medicine or supplies left.
