Out-of-Touch Maxine Waters Thinks ‘Facepage’ and ‘Tweeter’ Are Social Media Platforms

Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters is not the sharpest tool in the shed, which makes the fact that she serves as chair of the vitally important House Financial Services Committee nearly incomprehensible.
Waters showed once again on Sunday during an appearance on MSNBC just how out-of-touch she is with the American people — and divorced from reality in general — as she uttered a gaffe about her social media accounts while ranting about how she still intends to seek the impeachment of President Donald Trump over the now-debunked Russian collusion narrative.
The recently released final report from special counsel Robert Mueller made it abundantly clear that, despite countless media reports and claims to the contrary from elected Democrats, there was no evidence suggesting any sort of conspiracy or coordination — collusion, if you will — between then-candidate Trump or any of his associates with the Russian government in the 2016 election.
Waters appears to have not received that memo, or simply to have ignored the clear message contained therein, as she continued to insist that Trump and his allies were guilty — with overwhelming evidence proving such on her social media accounts — of colluding with the Kremlin in Moscow.
In arguing as much, however, Waters claimed the evidence of Trump’s membership in the “Kremlin Klan” was there for everyone to see on her “Facepage” and “Tweeter” accounts, a hilariously wrong mispronunciation of “Facebook” and “Twitter.”

Check it out here. The gaffe comes at about the 6:20 mark.

Waters told “AM Joy” host Joy Reid:
“Let me just say and repeat, that I have been calling for his impeachment for a long time because I understood very clearly who this man is, how he conducted himself during his campaign and the kind of information we learned about him even before Mueller came on board.”
Unfortunately, in the view of Waters, Mueller failed to produce the supposedly ample evidence of collusion with Russia by Trump, which means it is now up to Congress to prove that Trump committed a crime worthy of being impeached and removed from office.
Despite the conclusions reached by Mueller, Waters insisted, “I think that when you look at this report, you can see that there is enough information there — not only on obstruction of justice — but also on collusion or conspiracy, whatever you want to call it, to move forward with impeachment on this president.”
Following an unwarranted swipe at Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and a questioning of the “patriotism” of those who support President Trump, Waters said she wasn’t shocked by the information included in Mueller’s report because she and her staff had been digging deep into the alleged connections between Trump and Russia for some time.
“When we looked at all of his allies and people who were connected with him, and with Putin and the Kremlin and with the oligarchs of Russia, we determined something was very wrong, and we dubbed them the ‘Kremlin Klan,'” Waters said.
“The ‘Kremlin Klan,’ as identified, has been on my Facepage on Tweeter for almost two years,” she continued, butchering the names of the two most prominent social media platforms.
“We know who they are, and this report only confirms that. What more do we need to do?”
Waters wondered how much longer the rest of her colleagues needed to conduct investigations and reach the same conclusion that she had reached when Trump first took office — that we must “Impeach 45!”
“I can only tell you I, for one, have been for impeachment for a long time, I’m gonna continue to be for impeachment,” Waters said.
“I think he should have been impeached a long time ago, and the American people are waiting on us to provide the leadership.”
This elected member of Congress, who also chairs a hugely important committee that oversees our nation’s financial system and institutions, remains focused on impeaching the president she utterly despises over alleged collusion with Russia that has now been shown to have not occurred.
The congresswoman’s refusal to accept that reality, combined with her inability to even properly name the two most prominent social media platforms that she herself makes use of, is just the latest proof that Ms. Waters is in way over her head.

  1. If Mad Max spent only 1/8 of her time taking care of her District as she does wasting air over Trump it might be a decent place to live. She cares nothing for her constituents, NOTHING.
