'I really hope he's not a Trump supporter': Captain America star Chris Evans says he 'might have to cut ties' with Tom Brady if the quarterback is a fan of the president and may not consider playing the NFL star in biopic

Chris Evans says he 'might have to cut ties' with Tom Brady if the quarterback is a true supporter of President Donald Trump.
The Captain America star, who is known to be a New England Patriots fan, also said he wasn't sure if we would even consider playing the quarterback in a biopic.
'I really hope he's not a Trump supporter. I'm just hoping he's one of those guys that maybe supported him and now regrets it,' Evans, 37, told The Hollywood Reporter
Evans went on to say that there's a possibility that Brady believed that the presidency was 'going to be different and even that bothers me'.
'But maybe there's a chance now he just thinks Trump's an absolute dumb sh*t, which he is. If he doesn't, if he's still on that Trump train, I might have to cut ties. It's really tough,' Evans added.

When asked if he would consider playing Brady in a biopic, Evans said: 'I don't know.'
'I think maybe a couple of years ago I might have tried to pull some, like, mental gymnastics to compartmentalize, but I don't know if I can anymore.
'So I'm just hoping he's [Brady] woken up.'
Evans' interview took place a few days before the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams and won their sixth Super Bowl.
During a 2015 video interview, where Brady spoke with the press from his locker room, a red 'Make American Great Again' hat was visibly perched on a shelf in the backdrop.
Brady and Trump go way back and are known to be golf buddies.
But things became rocky when Trump fiercely attacked athletes who knelt or refused to sing during the national anthem prior to football games.
Trump considered the protest an act of defiance and a lack of patriotism.

Still the president congratulated Brady on making it to the Super Bowl for the ninth time.
'Congratulations to Bob Kraft, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the entire New England Patriots team on a great game and season. Will be a fantastic Super Bowl!' Trump tweeted on January 20.
